2017 Northwest Aviation Conference

Join us at the 2017 Northwest Aviation Conference, one of Washington's biggest aviation events with over 75 hours of safety seminars and 122,000 square feet of displays. The event takes place at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup on Saturday, February 25 - Sunday, February 26.

Rotor Careers: Helicopter Pilot Careers (11am-12pm Room E - North Foyer)
Want to make a career of flying crucial search and rescue missions or aerial firefighting operations? The competition for these type of demanding, action-packed helicopter pilot jobs is high. Hillsboro Aero Academy will explain how you can become a helicopter pilot in the career you want and outline the costs, certificates, and qualifications necessary to achieve your goals.

Training Opportunity - Horizon Air & Hillsboro Aero Academy Pilot Development Program (1:15-2:15pm Room D - Heritgage Room)
The airline industry needs 617,000 new pilot over the next 18 years, according to the Boeing: Pilot and Technician Outlook. This demand is driving airlines to develop creative solutions for attracting new pilots to the industry. Through a unique partnership with Hillsboro Aero Academy, Horizon Air has created the Pilot Development Program which offers $7500 stipends to students to assist with flight training costs. Upon completion of their training, these students will receive a job offer from Horizon Air. Come learn more about this unique scholarship program for future airline pilots.

Mountain and Off Airport Operations (Room C - Pioneer)
This exciting course is an introduction to the basics of off-airport operations and mountain flying, including wind finding techniques, approach profiles, and safety procedures.
