Hillsboro Aero Academy is proud to announce that three of its current Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) have earned the distinguished Master CFI designation through the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).
The instructors —Rachel Kim, Jaryd Copeland, and Michael Ferry— have successfully completed the rigorous requirements of the NAFI Master Instructor Accreditation Program, one of the most prestigious professional aviation credentials available to flight instructors in the United States.
The Master CFI designation recognizes aviation educators who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to instructional excellence, professional development, aviation safety, and mentorship. Candidates must document extensive teaching experience, advanced training, continuing education, and significant contributions to the aviation community.
"For those instructors who want to give back to the community and really go the extra mile as teachers and mentors, this is a great accreditation to add to your resume," said Michael Ferry, Program Manager and Master CFI at Hillsboro Aero Academy.
The achievement further reinforces Hillsboro Aero Academy's commitment to providing high-quality flight training led by experienced and highly credentialed aviation professionals. With training programs serving students from around the world, the academy continues to invest in instructor development as a key component of its educational mission.
The NAFI Master Instructor Accreditation Program is designed to encourage flight instructors to pursue continuous improvement throughout their careers. Less than 1% of active flight instructors in the United States hold the Master CFI designation, making it a significant professional distinction.
"A great flight instructor never stops learning. Achieving the Master CFI designation demonstrates a commitment not only to personal growth, but to providing students with the highest level of instruction and mentorship," added Sundar Priyadarshan, Airplane Chief Instructor at Hillsboro Aero Academy. "Rachel, Jaryd, and Michael exemplify the culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement that we strive to foster throughout our academy." Hillsboro Aero Academy congratulates Rachel Kim, Jaryd Copeland, and Michael Ferry on this outstanding accomplishment and thanks them for their continued dedication to aviation education and safety.
