We're proud of the fact that we're an international flight school, with alumni from 55+ countries. Flying is, after all, a global adventure, so each new group of international students adds to and enhances our community of global aviators.
That's why were excited this week to receive approval, after many months of hard work by our business development and operations teams, from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to conduct professional airplane pilot training in accordance with CAAV regulations.
This approval opens up new opportunities for us to welcome Vietnamese students to our Oregon-based flight academy campuses through partnerships with Vietnamese commercial airline carriers; we're expecting our first group of cadets in Q1 2021.
We humbly believe that we're the best choice for students from the APAC region. Our track record in the region is the main reason that APAC-based airlines consistently choose us for their commercial pilot training: we already conduct training on behalf of Air China, China Eastern, Shandong Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Korean Air, and we hope to add at least two Vietnamese carriers in 2021.
