TROUTDALE, OREGON — Hillsboro Heli Academy, the helicopter training division of Hillsboro Aero Academy, is excited to announce its upcoming Helicopter Summer Workshop for High School Students, designed to give aspiring pilots a hands-on introduction to helicopter flight training and careers in helicopter aviation.
Hosted at the academy’s dedicated helicopter campus in Troutdale, Oregon— against the beautiful backdrop of the Columbia River Gorge—the workshop offers participants a unique opportunity to experience real-world helicopter operations in a professional training environment.
The Helicopter Summer Workshop is tailored to high school students who will complete their sophomore, junior, or senior year in 2026, and who are interested in exploring a future in aviation. Participants will gain insight into helicopter aerodynamics, flight controls, safety procedures, day-to-day operations of a professional pilot training school, and will experience a demo-flight on the last day.
